The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply has a single channel and a total power output of 1.2kW (1200W). This laboratory DC power supply also features a PowerFlex design for maximum flexibility, support for digital bus interfaces and an IVI driver. It is suitable for benchtop, system and rack-mounted applications.
PowerFlex
The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply’s PowerFlex design allows it to generate higher currents at lower voltages within the overall power limit envelope. The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply’s channel can be configured to have a maximum voltage output of 60V or a maximum current output of 50A within the 1200W power envelope. It is able to provide three times the current of a conventional PSU with the same voltage and power whilst its wide range of voltage and current combinations equips the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply with maximum flexibility.
Furthermore, the PowerFlex regulator ensures the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply has a low output noise and good transient response as it includes a linear output stage.
Numeric or Rotary Entry
To ensure accuracy, the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply has a high setting resolution of 1mV in up to 60V. Voltage and current levels can be entered numerically using the keypad; alternatively, they can be entered using the jog wheel at user-selectable increments.
Graphic Display
In Standard Display mode, the voltage and current are indicated on the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply’s large, high-resolution, graphic display in large digits and are accompanied by text annotations such as 'CV mode' and 'Output On'. The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply’s display can be adjusted to show digits and information in a variety of sizes, allowing the user to tailor the PSU to his/her requirements.
When altering settings the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply uses dual display of parameters, allowing the user to view existing and new settings simultaneously or actual and limit values simultaneously. Moreover, when configuring complex functions, the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply will provide text prompts or a complete selection menu.
OVP and OCP Trips
When the variable over-voltage and over-current trips are triggered the cause of activation is detailed on the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply’s display. The output trips can also be triggered by other fault conditions such as over-temperature and remote sense miswiring.
Upon activation, the OVP and OCP trips will shut off the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply’s output and provide a different level of protection.
Power Calculation
The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply can be configured to show the total power being applied to the load (VxA), in addition to the voltage and current. The total power is displayed to a resolution of 0.1W.
Low Resistance Calculation
The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply can be used to measure resistance measurements at high currents. Its remote sense terminals create a four-terminal connection, providing reliable resistance results for components that operate at ampere levels, such as magnets. The Low Resistance Calculator displays the equivalent resistance of the load (the voltage divided by the current).
Current Meter Averaging
The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply’s Current Meter Averaging function allows the PSU to measure rapidly changing loads as it stabilises the display by indicating an average reading calculated using the four preceding measurements. This reduces the speed and degree of variation.
Multiple Setting Stores
The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply includes non-volatile stores for saving voltage and current settings. This is particularly useful when performing repetitive testing as parameters can be recalled rapidly.
Analogue and Logic Interfaces
The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply includes analogue interfaces for both output voltage and output current (non-isolated). However, the control voltage is digitised enabling control of the PSU. The digitised voltage control can be selected between 0 to 5V or 0 to 10V for zero to full scale. Additionally, the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply includes monitor outputs for voltage and current that can be selected as 0 to 5V or 0 to 10V.
Furthermore, the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply includes an opto-isolated logic control signal. Using the menu, the opto-isolated logic control signal can be set as true= output on or true= output off. The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply also includes an opto-isolated open-collector logic output signal. Using the menu, it can be set to true or false for output enabled or disabled, current limit, power limit or any fault trip.
Comprehensive Bus Remote Control
The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply also supports digital bus interfaces including RS-232, USB, GPIB and LAN (Ethernet) with LXI. The digital bus interfaces provide full control of voltage, current, output on/off and set-up, as well as read-back of voltage, current and status. They are at ground potential and are opto-isolated from the output terminals.
IVI Driver
Further to the above, the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply includes an IVI driver for Windows which provides support for high-level applications such as LabView, LabWindows and HP/ Agilent VEE.
Ergonomic
The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply is suitable for benchtop, system and rack-mounted applications. To this end, it includes output and remote sense terminals and analogue, logic and bus interface connectors on the front and rear of the unit.
Furthermore, the Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply is housed in a 350mm-wide (13 ¾”), 3U-high case. An OPTIONAL rack-mounting kit is available, please call for details.
The Aim-TTi QPX1200SP Digital Bench Power Supply is an ergonomic, comprehensive and flexible PSU suitable for benchtop, system and rack-mounted applications.
