High-performance 6 1/2-digit DMM
The M3510A and M3511A 6 1/2-digit multimeters are the latest generation of digital multimeters from Picotest. These new digital multimeters feature compact size, lightweight, high measurement speed and productivity, expanded measurement functions, systematization capabilities, and highly usable interfaces, including a standard USB interface and an optional GPIB / RS-232 interface. The M3510A and M3511A digital multimeters are suitable for both production and research / development.
Sampling rate of 50000 readings / sec
The M3510A and M3511A adopt the latest A / D technology and achieve 50,000 readings per second at 4 1/2 digits. When sending data to the computer, the M3510A and M3511A can achieve high accuracy and stability compared to other digital multimeters with slow data transmission speed. With M3510A and M3511A, your work efficiency will be greatly improved and your operating costs will also be greatly reduced.
Dual Measurement and Display
The dual measurement display function of M3510A and M3511A provides two measurement results displayed at the same time and is easy to set and configure. For example, when measuring DCV, you can also perform thermocouple measurement on M3510A. This allows you to observe the temperature change while taking other measurements. M3510A can work as a multimeter and thermometer in one.
Temperature Measurements
The M3510A and M3511A digital multimeters support RTD temperature measurement and support standards such as ITS-90, IEC751 and Callendar-Van Dusen. The RTD function is recommended for more accurate measurements. M3510A also provides Thermocouple (TC) function. It has a built-in cold junction compensator for better TC accuracy. Without additional plug-ins and reference temperature settings, you can measure temperature directly via thermocouples of type K, J, R, S, T, E, N, C and B.
Multi-measurement and math functions
The M3510A and M3511A digital multimeters offer capacitance measurement and dual measurement display, in addition to standard measurements, such as DCV, DCI, ACV, ACI, 2WΩ, 4WΩ, Frequency, Period, Thermocouple and RTD, and math functions, such as Limits, Ratio, MX + B, %, dBm, dB, Min / Max and Null. The measurement ranges have also been expanded. For example, the DC and AC current ranges now go up to 10A.
True RMS
The M3510A and M3511A digital multimeters use an analog conversion technique to provide the true RMS value for ACV/ACI measurements regardless of the waveform shape. Only the “calorific value” of the AC components of the input waveform is measured. For non-symmetrical waveforms, such as pulse trains, the DC components will be rejected from the RMS measurement.
Easy-to-use MENU
Setting up the M3510A and M3511A is simple. Unlike other digital multimeters with complex operating modes in the setup menu, the M3510A and M3511A offer easy-to-use SHIFT, CONFIG, ENTER, arrow keys and corresponding softkeys at the bottom of the display in all measurement configurations. Using your Picotest equipment has never been easier.
Built-in USB Interface and USBTMC Compliant
A high-speed USB interface is built into both M3510A and M3511A. An optional GPIB/RS-232 interface is also available. The included USB interface complies with USBTMC protocol. Both M3510A and M3511A can be operated by USBTMC compatible software. So buy M3510A and M3511A now to replace your old digital multimeters while keeping your existing USBTMC compatible software.

An example application (current and temperature)
This is one of the PT-Tool applications to observe the temperature change as the current flows through a specific resistance. In the following graph, new data is inserted from the left. We can easily see from the graph that the temperature of the resistance increases or decreases with the current.
Dimension Information
If the problem occurs during operation of the M3510A and M3511A, it is recommended to perform the self-test first. If basic adjustments for Zero and Gain need to be made, follow the instructions in the M3510A / M3511A Service Manual. A calibrator with an accuracy of at least 6 1/2 digits and a shorting plug are required. For a full calibration with factory reports, contact your local service representative to return the digital multimeter to PICOTEST.
